The Return of VIRGO-A
July 22, 2010After an 8 month hiatus from live performance, Saint John's instrumental prog giants VIRGO-A are ready to begin amazing audiences around the maritimes all over again. Since December 2009 the band has spent countless hours in their basement rehearsal space testing out new material while improving and refining their sound. Now being reunited with bassist Peter Butler, VIRGO-A is putting the finishing touches on a unique set list that is sure to push the boundaries of east coast rock music.
VIRGO-A's first performance since the hiatus is scheduled for August 27th at the Sunstar Lounge in Saint John, NB. The space-rock quartet will be joined by Saint John hip-hop veterans Curbside Prawjek in what is sure to be a night of spectacular local music. For more details please visit the shows section.

VIRGO-A bassist leaves saint john for a new home closer to aurora borealis

VIRGO-A bassist, peter butler, has just announced that he will be moving to the northwest territories. for those who are unfamiliar with canada, earth, the northwest territories is a prime location to view the earthbound phenomenon of aurora borealis. to celebrate peter's epic journey, VIRGO-A will be playing a commemorative concert at peppers pub in saint john, nb, canada, earth on sunday december 6th, 2009. because of peter's eventual lack of proximity to other band members, there is a likely chance that this may be the final chance to see VIRGO-A perform for quite a while. be sure you do not to miss this one. check out the shows section for more details
